Alexis Mondragon, Ph.D., NCSP is a doctoral level nationally certified school psychologist and a postdoctoral fellow at O’Koon Psychology Group. She earned her doctorate in school psychology from the University of Kansas. She recently completed her predoctoral internship in southern Illinois at Egyptian Public Health Department and Wabash Ohio Valley Special Education District (WOVSED), which are housed within the Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium (ISPIC).
Dr. Mondragon’s clinical experience includes both public and alternative school settings, hospital and clinic settings, and community mental health. She has experience assessing and providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders, behavior and mood disorders, and complex trauma, with particular interest in disruptive and oppositional behavior disorders.
Dr. Mondragon’s background and training in school psychology afford her a unique perspective on clinical assessment and recommendations. She has a vast knowledge of special education law and evaluations, Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans, and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans. She aims to collaborate with schools and families to foster and build the school-home relationship in order to optimize academic, social/emotional, and functional well-being.
