Dr. Cox Treffert enjoys collaborating with each individual’s network of support, including parents/guardians, school staff, doctors, therapists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, learning specialists, and lawyers, to ensure both understanding of strengths and needs and continuity of care post-evaluation.
Dr. Cox Treffert’s experience and training includes various preschool through high school settings (i.e., traditional, homeschool, parochial, alternative, and therapeutic), as well as partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programming and private practice settings. She has extensive knowledge regarding Illinois and Wisconsin special education law and supports in public school (i.e., tiered interventions, special education evaluations, IEPs, FBAs and BIPs, and Section 504 Plans) and private or parochial school (e.g., ICEP, ISP, ILP) settings.
